RFK Jr. expressed much the same thought, i.e., that the conviction may well enable Trump to win because it has so enraged and energized the GOP base. Many Republicans who were barely lukewarm for Trump are now all for him because they are so outraged by the Democrats' abuse of the justice system.

Do Democrats just not remember that Hillary Clinton did the exact, exact, exact same thing that Bragg charged Trump with doing--falsely labeling non-campaign payments as "legal expenses"--and yet was never charged and was allowed to settle the matter by merely paying an FEC fine? She used campaign funds to pay for the bogus Steele dossier that created the Russia collusion myth, and she labeled the payment as a "legal expense."
