When King Charles III speaks to Parliament, he will often say "my government" will do this and that. Of course, it is the elected prime minister who will do this and that. But it is fun to pretend that he has any power.

In a sense, the current occupant of the Oval Office is, in effect, our king. An elderly gentleman who just reads what is handed him. Whose "advisers" pull the strings. Someone whom we chuckle at. Someone whom no one pays attention to.
Someone who we wish would retire back to Delaware after he attends the inauguration of (probably) Kamala Harris in January, 2025.

On the other hand, what if the Left had a really wily, intelligent, charismatic, guy as President? A highly-energetic 40 year old. One who hated the 'old America' and was dead set on 'transforming' it? Such people exist.
