It's a guise imo.

The fraud and abuse does exist in our medical and healthcare arena, but it is some insurance companies, senior citizen nursing home corporations, rehab centers, radiology facilities, physical therapy centers etc etc that commit the massive Medicaid and Medicare fraud in their billing schemes.

Many of these cuts for the most part, make it harder and quite burdensome for those in need....purposely ...so the poorest people in need, mess up in their paperwork, and can have their health-care taken away.... (the devil is in the detail of bureaucracy)

Yet, who really commits the massive fraud, companies like Rick Scott's previous to governor's job, stole MILLIONS.

The bill instead, puts our angst on to the peon poor person, and how they should just get a better job, or stop having babies, stop being a welfare queen, or is a lazy gamer in grandma's basement, blah blah blah blah blah....

when the big gun companies above, many friends with congress critters, steal us blind!

No one who is eligible for Medicaid will lose coverage.
If someone is ineligible for Medicaid then they need to buy Obamacare, or work where they get healthcare coverage.
You need to stop thinking like a Welfare Queen, and learn to pay for services.
No one should get "something for nothing".

Wrong. There is a gap. Obamacare has a minimum you have to earn to be able to be allowed on the exchange, and MEDICAID has a maximum you can earn or you do not qualify.

There are tons of American people who earn a dollar or two above the poverty level and miss the qualification for getting Medicaid, and earn too little to meet the Obamacare minimum earned income.

This is where states got to choose to accept the fed offer of expanding the Medicaid poverty level of acceptance up to the obamacare minimum, so there was no gap of poor people, who were not covered with healthcare at all....

Medicaid fraud primarily comes from crooked providers and billing schemes. Not the so called welfare queen.

Before the ACA, 45,000 Americans per year died from lack of access to care.

In 2023, more than 1200 women died from the complications of pregnancy and childbirth, 80% of whom could be saved with adequate access to health care.

Donald Trump’s changes to clean air and water regulations, killed 1200 Americans per year in his first term.

You have the WORST health care in the first world. You’re the only first world nation where life expectancy is declining.

You could name any of these people who died, but don’t pretend that it’s not happening or that Republicans don’t know it’s happening and they don’t care.

The Medicaid cuts aren't going to kill anyone. The huge majority of the cuts are just making able bodied people work. If able bodied people don't want to work then screw 'em.

$880 billion in cuts to Medicaid is HUGE, much much much more than the 10 billion that might be worked around to get it to an illegal, who generally do not qualify for Medicaid.

This $880 billion in cuts will hurt the poor working Americans that did not earn enough to get on Obamacare,
and who also earned too much to qualify for Medicaid earnings cut off.

Then, without insurance our Hospitals will be inundated in their Emergency Rooms, with people who don't have the money to pay, the hospital has to give them care under law and will get some reimbursement but not enough ....not enough to save breaking some of these Hospitals in to shutting down, hurting all of us in the long run, imo.

Medicaid also pays about 40% of the costs of all seniors in nursing homes.

Medicaid pays 40% of all American children's healthcare.

And Medicaid pays for the healthcare of the Disabled.

Along with covering the healthcare of those who earn less a year, than the U.S. Poverty line.

$880 billion in cuts to Medicaid and the Food assistance program are going to hurt working Americans, in a really big way....imo.

The reforms made, are primarily measures to simply kick American people off it....not to find fraud and abuse....

5 states did test programs with many of these measures and only 1 out of 5 different states, didn't end up removing thousands of poor eligible Medicaid recipients....because it was too complicated for them and confusing requirements to them...where time and help had to be spent to get them back on it....

I admit, I have not delved in to it in depth yet, to review these programs, and exactly where the problems arose that kicked many eligible Americans off of it...but the rush to use these State test programs as their guide, when 4 out of 5 did not accomplish getting rid of fraud and abuse, just reduced those eligible American people...is a good tell tale sign to me, it's a guise saying it is for fraud and abuse or it is to keep the undocumented from receiving it and all that bull shit.
