Hello, I've enjoyed debating on other forums, and heard about this one through some friends. I'm basically a Constitutionalist or Conservative, and believe in politically adhering to the Constitution via original intent.

Constitutional stupidity is rampant here. Got wadders?

Having always regarded the practical distinction between Religion & Civil Govt as essential to the purity of both, and as guaranteed by the Constn: of the U.S. I could not have otherwise discharged my duty on the occasion which presented itself.

Welcome. Did you ever swear an oath like this?:

I, (you), do solemnly swear that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; that I take this obligation freely, without any mental reservation or purpose of evasion; and that I will well and faithfully discharge the duties of the office on which I am about to enter.
