In actuality there's some merit to this if it wasn't for the fact the character is made of many figures.
Let me explain;
1)Book of Thomas talks about the day you'd see exchanged body parts, men becoming woman and vice versa.
2)Book of Judas says Jesus was Bi and the NT reveals his love of Lazarus including a naked Lazarus fleeing from a loin clothed Jesus out of his cabin after they slept the night together. (book of Mark)
3) The Omni magazine did a great piece on the figure possibly being a woman posing as a man. They base it on Sweating blood as only a trait in "woman" with Turners syndrom, which they are short & masculine in appearance. In a world full of male teachers it could have been more necessary to pose as a male then a butch woman, where perhaps they were shuned.
4)The skull claimed to be of Jesus turned out to be a womans skull.
There were found the catheri relics one labeled "Caput LVIII" contained the skull of a woman and this was sworn to be the flesh and blood tomb of Jesus.

So if Jesus was based on a trans (which there's nothing wrong with that), it would have been a woman posing as a man and explain the strange duality church worship of the mother figure.

According to the Book of Thomas Jesus himself taught his kingdom in death and about transgender and since he got his disciples killed Jesus would be liken to that Applegate heavens gate guy, a mere cultist who did the same.
So the question should be, why is Applegate seen as nuts leading a death cult and Jesus made your god?
