Woman Arrested At Restaurant After Insisting Jesus Christ Would Pay For Her Dinner

An Oklahoma woman recently tried to get out of paying the tab for her alcoholic beverages and dinner by claiming her “husband” would take care of it. However, the restaurant had no hope that the bill would be covered — because the woman said her husband was Jesus Christ.

The woman, identified at Kristi Rhines, visited the Mexican restaurant El Chico in Lawton and ordered several drinks and a meal. When the bill came, Rhines revealed that she couldn’t pay for it and told the restaurant’s managers that her husband would soon return to settle it.

The managers demanded to know the name of Rhines’ husband, and that’s when Rhines told them that although she had no legitimate wedding license to prove it, she was legally married to Jesus. She continued to insist that Jesus “would be able to walk in and produce U.S. currency to pay for her bill.”

Anyone else think Jesus will pay for your meal?

A lot of people in this country think there's such a thing as a free lunch. Millions of them. Of course the restaurant is probably getting some serious publicity here. That's worth waiting for Jesus to pony up the tab.
