Remy (not a big guy) was playing 2nd base during a game in 1979 when he collided with Yankee catcher Jerry Narron in the 1st inning. Remy got pretty wrecked. Big Jim Rice came galloping in from left field and scooped Remy up like a rag doll and carried him off the field into the Red Sox dug out. The Yankees trainer treated him.
