The press is not reporting this, that I am aware of, but the Democrats first met with Zelensky prior to him meeting Trump. They managed to totally destroy any chance for Zelensky to save his own ass.

I heard of this Sunday when It was discussed on Meet the press and it came out that the Democrats beat Trump to the meeting. They gave Zelensky the idea he then used in the Oval Office.
