In the quest to establish the new "woke culture" the Defense Department actually removed the history of Jaackie Robinson from its website. After much clamor, they decided to restore it. Jackie Robinson is not DEI. What some claim DEI is isn't DEI. It's time this overt nonsense ended.

Defense Department Webpage on Jackie Robinson Goes Down, Then Returns amid Diversity Purge

A Department of Defense webpage describing baseball and civil rights icon Jackie Robinson's military service was restored Wednesday after it was missing earlier in the day.

That development came after pages honoring a Black Medal of Honor winner and Japanese American service members were taken down — the Pentagon said that was a mistake — amid the department's campaign to strip out content singling out the contributions by women and minority groups, which the Trump administration considers “DEI.”

for once, I agree with you,

Jackie wasn't hired because of his skin color; he was hired because of his talent.

he was hired for his talent. so no, he wasn't a DEI. You just educated yourself on the difference.

This is funny

Jackie was hired to be the first Negro Baseball Player
if so, why didn't they hire Bill Robinson?

Bigger name, and when he failed, it would prove Negros weren't ready for the Big Leagues.

DEI is a very modern thing, exploited politically by the left to label their opposition as "racists". People like Jackie Robinson and Louis Armstrong made their way up on raw talent long before the Democrats got hijacked by CIA-backed globalist mafiosa in the early 60's. Those guys got famous because they were good, not because they weren't white. People like Kamala Harris? Entirely different story. That was literally like 70 years later, AFTER Bush announced the New World Order. The New World Orders DEI tendency goes well beyond race, like when they implemented "no child left behind", which in the end translates to an education system where individual merit, achievement and credentials take a back seat to political correctness. All that does is make teachers look good on paper when they're not or when the student isn't really learning. Hiring blacks for being black on not on their real merits doesn't make blacks OR our government or corporations look good to most, no matter what the media says to the contrary.

You don't know what DEI is. All of you right-wingers repeat the race-baited garbage you get told. Kamala Harris is a law school graduate, She was a DA, she was the AG of the largest state in the country, a senator elected by that state and a Vice President. She was there precisely because she was that good.

Whits such as yourself need to shut up about peoples skills. Far too many whites have been put in places not because they were good, but because they were white.

She was there because Biden said he was going to pick a black female.

out of all the choices he could have made, he picked the one that, that prevented him from being a) assassinated, b) removed by the 25th Amendment, and c) made him look good.

When are people going to realize trump and crew are flaming racist?

A couple of relevant quotes that come to mind...

“As a white person, I can openly and unabashedly reminisce about “the good old days.” Romanticized recollections of the past and calls for a return to former ways are a function of white privilege, which manifests itself in the ability to remain oblivious to our racial history.”
― Robin DiAngelo, White Fragility: Why It's So Hard for White People to Talk About Racism

“Anti-blackness is rooted in misinformation, fables, perversions, projections, and lies. It is also rooted in a lack of historical knowledge and an inability or unwillingness to trace the effects of history into the present. But perhaps most fundamentally, anti-blackness comes from deep guilt about what we have done and continue to do; the unbearable knowledge of our complicity with the profound torture of black people from past to present. While the full trauma of this torture in its various forms—both physically and psychologically—is only borne by African Americans, there is a kind of moral trauma in it for the white collective.”

As hard as many of the trump people try, their racist tendencies sometime just slip out. I don't understand how a black person could vote for tump? But many did....

If MAGA had been around then, they would have boycotted his games.
There was some boycotting, but the coach said "Play Ball!" It didn't last long. It was worse to drink from a 'whites only' water fountain than to play on a white MLB team.
