I've never been to Europe, but i'm going in a couple of weeks

If I take a train from London to Paris. Can I see the Arc of Triumph and Eiffel tower and the Pere La Chaise cemetery in one day
Take many pictures and post on here please. I'd like to see an objective view of what Europe is like today

I've travelled in many countries outside the US (mostly Far East).

If you will accept one piece of advise that I can give for an enjoyable trip.

  • By that I mean be humble, be respectful to people, where ever you go check out the do/don't aspects of polite sociaty.
  • Don't be the typical loud American tourist that thinks the world is supposed to conform to the American way of doing things.
  • Be respectful of the places you visit.
  • Leave your US politics at home.

I was a Mormon missionary for 2 years in Australia. So I know that angle quite well

I will do my best. I'm 75 so I'm not real computer literate

If you are not bi-lingual. You may want to play around with a conversational translation app. While many people in Europe speak English, it can still be helpful sometimes.

It's on my bucket list to one day visit Europe, been wanting to for decades...but with how expensive airfare is to there I never have. If your already broke and don't make much money visiting Europe can be a challenge

Have fun, watch out for the pick pockets and scammers in Paris. They target tourists.
I have family members who went to Europe who said pickpocketing was so awful!

They were shocked actually how bad theft was in Europe.

I have never been able to afford Europe.

You got watch your things like a hawk. Have things safely zipped up and in eyesight. My relatives bought zip up money pouches that they hid under their shirts, strapped around waist and neck.
