The hard-core would always get their abortions, but those who aren't sure would probably be dissuaded. It was the same with prohibition. The fact is, prohibition DID reduce the amount of alcohol consumption, contrary to popular belief.

Being attracted to and acting on are two different things.
I see beautiful young women all the time. Occasionally I'll have fleeting thoughts, but being a married person, would I act on them? Never.
As for gays, my heart goes out to them. It's probably difficult for them to do the right thing, but they can do it.
