I do now.

I caught the flu before, twice. Once when I was a little kid around 10 years old and another time when I was 20 something. The flu sucks! I was absolutely miserable.

If an at-risk demographic like elderly, child, immuno-suppressed person, flu shots can be a good idea. They only protect you from local flu variations though, and what's going on locally will determine which strain the shot protects you from (assuming it's updated reflecting such things on-time.) But you can still get some other version and have no protection whatsoever.

I've yet to get one having a fairly healthy immune system and a nature that doesn't see me interacting much with others where I'd be getting exposed to things. Have had 1 flu in 16 years here, and that was from my sister-in-law who was in school at the time (and still gets teased about it.)
