Our current political state in our USA reminds me somewhat of the WW2 time table. Starts off small with Germany invading Poland on 09/01/39 which starts another European conflict, which then spreads into Russia on 06/22/41. Less than six months later on 12/07/41 the European conflict goes global. What started on the western plains of Poland in 1939 ends up coming to a close half way across the world in Japan on 08/15/45. I used the dates to illustrate a word called 'incrementalism' for it so richly illustrates the current political state of affairs in our America. Power play politick'n in our USA starts out the same as anywhere else on the globe with bickering, insults & snipping turning into push comes shove. When the constituencies federal Constitution(fabric of the society) becomes ensnared into the contest of wills the contest turns into a "no holds barred" contest. Like a pyromaniac playing in a fuel dump this one outta give ALL of us a show to remember!
In just a few weeks, lawsuits and legal threats from a pair of obscure election technology companies have achieved what years of advertising boycotts, public pressure campaigns and liberal outrage could not: curbing the flow of misinformation in right-wing media. Fox Business canceled its...

This has been coming for a decade. Ever since the rise of the Tea Party and then alt-right Internet media. Again, I hate to point this out. But that 1st Amendment is not a blanket protection to say or do whatever you want without fear of repercussion. There are limits to free speech. To be honest, it's about time this section of media was reeled in. It's been allowed to fester and metastasize because they spout lies and disinformation and then run for cover behind that 1st Amendment hoping that people won't come after them out of it being a PIA and not wanting to give them any attention. But over the last few years, right wing media has become an absolute cancer. You can't really call it "conservative" anymore. It all (for the most part) became alt-right, ending up a sludge pit of a conspiracy theory laden mass of built up white grievance. Then, you get what we got on January 6th. For two months, Trump's team was allowed to wander around to battleground states holding pressers next to porn shops and in hotel conference blaring that the election was stolen and the companies who made these voting machines were putting out equipment that was designed to steal votes from the almighty Trump. Didn't seem to affect any other down ballot Republicans but hey, it's all for Trump. Because we need him..to continue to contribute to the mess that our political state has become. So, these companies clapped back...and these lawsuits...have teeth. Sorry, I can't get all weepy for right wing media here. They brought this on themselves. BTW, I don't see anyone going after the National Review, the WSJ, or a bunch of the other conservative publications that have been around for years..and are smart enough not to have got caught up in the disinformation madness.
