It's Official: Bukele will NOT Release El Salvadoran Citizen Kilmar Abrego Garcia to the United States

"How can I return him to the United States? I smuggle him into the United States? Of course I'm not going to do it. The question is preposterous," Bukele said. "I don't have the power to return him to the United States. We're not very fond of releasing terrorists into our country.

"To liberate 350 million people, you have to imprison some. That's the way it works,” Bukele told Trump.

Imprison some and also kill some. That's because for every hundred people who yearn for freedom, there is one who wants to take away that freedom through violence and greed. Should the one hundreds submit to the ones, because the ones don't shrink from violence and the hundreds are not willing to do what has to be done to stop them?

It reminds me of something that happened in my early years of teaching. I showed a social studies class a video of a movie about George Washington crossing the Delaware. The one with Jeff Daniels as Washington. In a scene in which Hamilton entered a farmhouse with Hessian mercenaries, some blood spattered on the wall. Some of my students were shocked, and I had not expected that.

I told them, "look, I wish you hadn't seen that. But you should know this: Alexander Hamilton founded a great banking system that was instrumental in the United States turning from an agrarian country with little influence to the most powerful nation in the world. But before he could do that . . . he had to straight up toe-tag some people."
Trump refuses to release him. If Trump wanted it, it’d happen. The statement today was just one dictator covering for another.

Why would El Salvador send one of its citizens back to a country where they are accused of illegally immigrating to in order to get a hearing on whether they will be deported back to ElSalvador?

They would do it, if Trump asked, as directed by SCOTUS. We’re paying him to house prisoners. Of course he’s going to do what Trump says and Trump said to say there’s nothing he can do. One dictator covering for another!

Why wouldn't he, if president Trump asked? If trump tried to facilitate it?

Isn’t it Bukele that wants to take away freedom?
the crime rate in his country went down something like 90% after he did away with the gangs.....el salvador went from the worst country in homicides to one of the safer countries in the Americas,,,,...the only freedom taken away was the the gangs freedom....his people are now free to walk the streets there...

You don’t think he put innocent people in his jail?

i wouldnt doubt it...but when i saw the story of a reporter who went to talk to the people in El Salvador....a hell of a lot of them said this guy made our streets safe and many felt the gangs are getting what they gave them for decades.....fear.....one guy said to hell with those people they are getting what they gave us for decades...the worst homicide rates in the Americas to one of the safest...

So if he’s putting innocent people in jail without due process, isn’t he taking away their freedom?

And putting gang members in jail and off the streets could not be done in ElSalvador, if those arrested and jailed got their due process in a court of law???

the guy i saw who did this report went to the prison and had a guard take him around....he said EVERY prisoner he saw had tatoos all over their bodies not one there was void of any,the guard told him that only the gangs members are in this prison,he said they have other prisons for regular criminals.....

care if you saw the video of the people voicing their opinions of this they didnt care because the gang members are off the street and they can now walk around without fear....they have regular prisons for their other types of criminals too...they were the country with the most homicides in the world just a few short years ago...now they have a level 1 travel advisory....a few short years ago they were a 4 which says "dont travel to"...if you lived there you may not care about the few broken eggs as they say,,,,

And you think the guard would tell a reporter about their human rights abuses? Okay…

I guess you don’t need courts when you can just declare people guilty based on their tattoos.

if you lived there you would probably have a different view....all the guard told him was in this prison its just the gang members who a few short years ago used fear and intimidation on its citizens to control them...all Bukal did was make the level 4 "do not travel" his country had, to a level 1 "ok to travel"...since he took over crime has gone down something like 90%.....a politician who actually did something about crime.....pretty rare in this country....

I'm not gonna lie, it's cruel and indifferent.

Sometimes I regret voting for Trump, however, if I had it to do over, I would have "stayed home" as it were. This kind of behavior is unconscionable.

What is your rationalization for returning him?

In El Salvador it is very much a gang member thing. You cannot put on the tattoos without full gang membership. If you have them without actually being a gang member they killed you. (Was murder Capitol of the world)
The USA is a weird place where people glamorize "thug life" and try to emulate it. Nowhere else in the world does such a thing happen. Most of the gang symbols are usually hidden and not so blatant. But in El Salvador they became so bold they went with public tattoos.

So....I really don't doubt the guilt of those placed in prison.

Oh, I don't doubt that you can increase safety in a country when you abandon civil liberties and protections.

If we got rid of the 4th through 8th amendments most people would probably be a lot safer too.

It's just hilarious that you think the prison guard would tell a reporter that they lock people up without trials or evidence. That's pretty naive.

Wow. So instead of trials, we just look for tattoos? That's amazing.

What does a gang tattoo look like?

This?

El Salvador was at the point at which suspending legal rights in criminal courts was the preferable bad alternative to continuing to let gangs terrorize communities.

We have not quite gotten to that point, but another four years of Biden-Harris(Obama) and we might have.

By stopping the overwhelming of the border by the Cartels, and going after MS13 and Tren de Aragua that the Democxrats already let in, Trump is preventing the need for such stong anti-gang measures as Bukele took. Took with the enthusiastic support of the voters of El Salvador.

People in El Salvador are less afraid under Bukele, not more afraid. The fear that Democrats feign of Trump is pure political posturing.
