It's gonna get worse, before it gets better....................

Now tell us all how our deaths per million stacks up against other states.

It has been another week since I last went through this. I'm curious about how the death rates have changed since 7/21. You probably don't want to see, and that's ok. If you continue to get defensive about the numbers, then that's your problem. I just like analyzing data.

New Jersey has the highest death rate. They were at 1,779.9 and now they're at 1,789.8. Their death rate has increased by 9.9 since you posted this screen shot on 7/21. Out of curiosity, let's see how all the states death rates have changed since then to get an idea of what's happening.

#1: New Jersey (+9.9)

#13: Arizona (+106.6)
#14: Indiana (+17.7)
#15: Georgia (+46.9)
#16: South Carolina (not listed) (jumped up from 22nd place)
#17: Alabama (not listed) (jumped up from 18th place)
#18: Colorado (+13.1)
#19: Florida (+76.2) (jumped up from 23rd place)

#31: North Carolina (+24.1)

Arizona's death rate is increasing the fastest right now. After them, we have Texas, Florida, and Louisiana.

Florida's death rate jumped from 23rd place to 19th place and it looks like they're still climbing with their rapidly increasing infection rate. They have also had a record high number of deaths four days in a row. (I'm not celebrating that. That's terrible.)

South Carolina also moved up a lot. They jumped from 22nd place (right above where Florida was) to 16th. Their numbers aren't available on the screen shot you took, but I did a few quick calculations and it looks like their death rate jumped about +96 since 7/21. I wouldn't have realized how bad they're getting if I hadn't looked at these numbers. Upon closer inspection, South Carolina has a total of 1,712 deaths and 491 one those deaths occurred in the last 10 days. That's 29% of their total deaths in just the last 10 days.

Texas also had a big increase. I'm not sure what rank they had before but it's a certainty that they jumped several spots since you posted this screen shot.
