Got tired of the bears tearing up the birdfeeders.

Every week or so I throw a can of seed out, and watch the birds and squirrels fight over it

I feed the birds, though not because "now's the time to feed them". That there are some 200 billion birds living in the world strongly suggests that they don't need our bags of seed to survive.
