It's difficult if not impossible to express in words just how thoroughly co-opted the DoJ has become

Pardoned Jan. 6 Rioter Who Threatened Police Joins Justice Dept.

A former F.B.I. agent who was charged with encouraging the mob that stormed the Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021, to kill police officers has been named as an adviser to the Justice Department task force that President Trump established to seek retribution against his political enemies.

The former agent, Jared L. Wise, is serving as a counselor to Ed Martin, the director of the so-called
Weaponization Working Group, according to people familiar with the group’s activities.

Mr. Martin,
a longtime supporter of Jan. 6 defendants, was put in charge of the weaponization group in May after Mr. Trump withdrew his name for a Senate-confirmed position as the U.S. attorney in Washington. His nomination faltered in part because of the work he had done as an advocate and defense lawyer for people charged in connection with the Capitol attack.

Even in a Justice Department that has often been pressed into serving Mr. Trump’s political agenda, the appointment of Mr. Wise to the weaponization task force was a remarkable development. His selection meant that a man who had urged violence against police officers was now responsible for the department’s official effort to exact revenge against those who had tried to hold the rioters accountable.

It seems like a small thing compared to the human suffering and death that will come as a result of Medicaid cuts. Or the people who will face hunger every day due to cuts in SNAP's budget. Or the consequences of proactively trying to accelerate climate change by promoting the use of fossil fuels like coal while slashing tax credits for renewable energy.

A 1/6 rioter being added to the retribution team at the DoJ is one of those things that feels like there's a committee appointed by trump sitting around a table trying to come up with the most diabolically shocking ideas they can think of. As though they are doing the worst things imaginable to the country because they know they can. After all, who will stop them? A Repub controlled Congress? No. Rank and file Repubs? No. The courts? Not any longer. This is a regime with virtually no checks and balances and it is running with it.

There is no department of ‘justice’ – it’s become a partisan weapon of the fascist right, with Trump as a fascist thug.

After all of the bullshit LAWFARE the democrats threw at Trump, and even after two assassination attempts, the commiecrats still whine when real JUSTICE comes to DC.

The pot shrieked at the kettle, "You're black!"

Can't wait for DOJ to force social media into censoring "disinformation" and deplatform democrat politicians

During the riot, the ultra-MAGA in question yelled to “kill em”, referring to Capitol police officers repeatedly.

Is that “real justice”? Killing Capitol police?

These people think only they can weaponize a justice dept. or think only they have the right to force their agenda, through education, justice, or the bureaucracy … I warned for years that the were setting precedents they wouldn’t like when turned on them, now look at em…the first sign that things aren’t going as they demand, and they have a meltdown …. What a bunch of pussies!

It has been strange, knowing ahead of time that Trump was going to remake the government in his profoundly damaged image, and then seeing it actually happen.

It's all about his lifelong perceived victimhood, and it's just getting started.

This is what dismantling the evil, totalitarian, Democrat deep state looks like. Naturally, they're not too happy about having to give up their ill-gotten money and power.

When will the MAGATs do the same?

Have you seen the budget increase for ICE in the big ugly bill?

GOP Budget Bill Would Make ICE “Largest Federal Law Enforcement Agency in the History of the Nation”

Immigrants here illegally have been so demonized in the eyes of The Following they have lost all perspective on the topic due to the "open borders" "immigrant invasion" propaganda. Putting aside the abject cruelty of it all, the financial impact of deportation from a spending standpoint and the cost to the economy far exceeds its value. But trumpists have an irrational mindset now that overt bigots like S. Miller have infected them with his xenophobic rants.

Speaking of propaganda, you've clearly consumed a lot.

Meanwhile, Vice President Vance, who cast the tie-breaking vote, was focused elsewhere: on immigration. He wrote on social media, quote, “Everything else — the CBO score, the proper baseline, the minutiae of the Medicaid policy — is immaterial compared to the ICE money and immigration enforcement provisions,” unquote.

This bill provides a whopping $170 billion to transform immigration enforcement and detention. This includes $45 billion for new detention jails. That’s 265% more than the current ICE detention budget and more than the budget of the federal prison system. ICE’s enforcement budget would increase by $30 billion, a threefold increase, and there’s some $46 billion for border walls and more. American Immigration Council calls the bill, quote, “the largest investment in detention and deportation in US history; a policy choice that does nothing to address the systemic failures of our immigration system while inflicting harm, sowing chaos, and tearing families apart,” unquote.

In JD's opinion the suffering of people in need of healthcare is inconsequential compared to ridding the country of hard working, law abiding, tax paying immigrants here illegally. It's obsessive madness.
