I thought an excellent point was made on the Judaism - Zionism, huh? thread.
The "you're an anti-Semite" trump card intimidates way too many people who aren't.
It's facile, it's cheap, and it's trash:
Its a trick ... We always use it:
Shulamit Aloni was a Mapai/Labor Party politician and minister with many different portfolios, including Minister of Education. She lost her Minister of Education gig for publicly criticizing organized tours by Israeli high school pupils to Holocaust concentration camps on grounds that such visits were turning Israeli youth into aggressive, nationalistic xenophobes. She was on the board of Yesh Din, a human rights organization active in the Occupied Territories, and defended former President Jimmy Carter's use of the word "apartheid" in the title of his book, Palestine: Peace, not Apartheid. She died in January 2014. This interview was conducted in 2002.
This is an excellent article on "Why the Nazi Analogy is on the Rise":
