They've been gone 14 years.

Since Europe will eventually become an Islamic continent, they shouldn't have bothered hunting for the paintings, or any other for that matter. The eventual Islamic government of Europe will simply have all artwork, statues, et cetera, destroyed for being un-Islamic.
