These days people at large despise the concepts of values and moral wrongs because they see them as cramping their style, whatever their sickest most sadistic style might happen to be (this week). Modern dilettantes and idiot savants desire the freedom to practice whatever depravity excites them, free from familial or societal judgement or repercussions. In days of yore people at large behaved, at least in public, because the consequences of overtly committing acts of taboo were something to be feared; moral judgement had sharp teeth. Nowadays hardly anyone gives a damn and almost anything goes. Many modern young mothers are little more than selfish whores whose desires far outweigh in their minds the needs, short or long term of their offspring.
