Of course the Europeans--British, Portuguese, Spanish, Dutch, Danish--didn't go into the jungles to capture black people destined to be slaves. They paid other black Africans to do that.

But the fact remains that there would have been no slavery in America--or the extremely cruel indentured servitude--if the British overlords/government had not brought them here. The American Founders, once they could control their own government, stopped any new slaves being brought to America.

That is the great disconnect with those who blame America and America alone for slavery and demand that it should be America and America alone who should empty our treasury in reparations to all black people including those descended from those who have never been slaves, who might have descended from those who captured and sold their country people to the British et al, who might have been slave owners themselves, etc.

I have seen trucks roll through towns in Western China with prisoners standing in the back of truck beds wearing sandwich boards declaring their crimes. These prisoners were driven to the outskirts of town and summarily executed.

Our Founding Fathers only intended for people with 'skin in the game' to be allowed to vote. Property Owners. Family Men, Men as Heads of Households.
