They never did want blacks to eat nor work at any of the Cracker Barrel restaurants. Years ago in the mid 90s Cracker Barrel had to pay out millions in a class action suit for their racism against blacks.

Now handicap/disabled kids can't eat there. Racism is taught to the employees throughout their training. They will put a black dot on the black people's orders and refer to blacks with the code word, "Canadians" They are going to be sued again by the disability organizers.

It's a really nice restaurant with an awesome concept. They will never build one in the midst of any inner city where blacks and hispanics live. I hear the food there is very good. The name Cracker Barrel has to do with white people cracking a whip on the black slaves as well as on livestock. It's just unfortunate they gave it such a racist name.

Incorrect. It refers to the barrel of soda crackers found in many country stores in the south in the early twentieth century. Residents of the area would often gather around these barrels to chat, gossip and fellowship.

Unless I misread the write up, I am under the impression that the place was shorthanded that day and that the kids were served, but that their meals had to be made to go. Near the end of the write up it says that following the event, three employees of the restaurant were let go. If the place truly is shorthanded, what makes the people in charge think that letting three employees go will make things better?

God bless you and everyone involved always!!!

there are no details in this story, which are needed

How can a cracker barrel with no notice not handle 11 special needs students in wheel chairs,

I drive all around the country and eat at Cracker Barrel often. Plenty of blacks eat and work at Cracker Barrel’s.
This story is way more likely a reflection of Charles county black racism than an indictment of Cracker Barrel.

1. They do have Cracker Barrels all over the place as you travel the roads.

2. They hired blacks only after the huge discrimination against blacks class action lawsuit they lost.

3. Take Houston for instance; 4th largest city in America. You will NOT find one Cracker Barrel in a black nor hispanic area which is the main inner city where the majority of the people live-where the money flows. Chick-fil-A is all over the place, but Cracker Barrel is located in all white areas only.

You’re using the wrong metric. No business wants to nor should be forced to open in a high-crime area.
Duh.

I thought Cracker Barrels were located on major interstates on the outskirts of town. The parents liked it, but I never saw anyone at a table who didn't have some ancient people at the table.

18 people pulled up in a bus 11 of which were special needs. That would be hard for any restaurant to handle without prior notice. I don't doubt this was handled poorly by the staff that was let go. But I doubt this falls under something that requires a protest.

Disabled or not, the remainder of the patrons have a right to dine without continuous blurt outs and other loud, sharp noise making

When your legacy is ‘y’all keepin’ us down!’, protests and legal demands are standard.

mean old cracker barrel wouldnt let handy capped students eat there. not of fan of this restaurant anyway. they closed down here.

Which is wierd, considering that I have seen plenty of wheelchairs, walkers and canes among the crowd sitting on the rocking chairs.

Me, Cracker Barrel isn’t a choice. I’ve eaten in them several times. The last time the food was inedible and the service downright hostile.
