However, after Yasmin Porat, who was in the house where the twins were held hostage, had said that the deaths were caused by Israeli tank fires, Hadas Dagan, the owner of the house where the hostages were held, also broke her silence.

In an interview with Channel 12 in Israel, Dagan confirmed that the Israeli army attacked the house where Israeli civilians were held by Hamas with tank fires and heavy weapons.

Recounting the horror over the killing of 14 people in the house, including her husband, Dagan talked about the moment Israeli soldiers arrived in front of their house. "At that point, it was clear to me that our role is to be a human shield between our (Israeli) forces that arrived and them (Hamas)."

"I will never forget the children's screams" Dagan said, with tears falling down her face, as she described the moment of the twins' death.

Dagan, recounting the moment when Israeli soldiers began attacking the house with heavy weapons, explained that her husband and she initially remained silent, and then they realized that their neighbors died.

"Suddenly, Adi (her husband) told me, 'Hadas, Ze'ev is no longer with us.' I looked over my shoulder and said, 'Pessi is also not with us'."

So please, lets not attribute every dead Israeli to Hamas.

No, I doubt that ever happened but a prisoner is not characterized by what kind of business transactions they might engage in.

They are characterized by being imprisoned with some kind of impenetrable or imposing barrier between them and the outside.
They are characterized by having no freedom to enter/leave the facility, they must seek approval from an authority.
They are characterized be relying on the external authority for all kinds of important supplies like medicines and equipment.

The Jews in the Warsaw ghetto faced a similar existence. Nobody today calls them "terrorists" for resisting, fighting, resorting to violence.

To escape via Egypt would make sense. To make them go into Israel, there is only one purpose....to invade Israel as they have done since 2007.

You do not seem to care that Egypt has not only built a huge wall on the border with Gaza, but that they have reinforced it big time. Why would that be?

But......Gaza were never prisoners of anyplace. Israel totally left Gaza in 2005, Hamas violently took power in 2007. Billions were sent to Gaza and used by Hamas not to turn it into a tourist attraction, etc but to try the good ol' Muslim must: Keep any and all land once conquered by Islam in Muslim hands.

Crusaders invaded, no complaints from Arab Muslims. Ottoman Muslims invaded. Not a word from Arab Muslims.
It is a pattern. That is, until Jews reclaimed part of their ancient homeland.


Now, WHY doesn't Egypt agree to take Palestinians from Gaza into Egypt as refugees until the war Hamas started is over?
