The problem is not the Israeli Occupation, It is the Muslim Occupation. In 638 the Muslims occupied Jerusalem and built The Dome Of The Rock and Al Aqsa Mosque on the top of the Jewish Temple.

Since then the Muslims have occupied Temple Mount and refused to allow Jews to build their Temple, or even to visit the holy site.
