An Israeli strike on Iran’s South Pars gas field was coordinated with the Trump administration in advance, according to three Israeli officials, despite President Trump’s assertion that the United States “knew nothing about” it....

But three Israeli officials briefed on the South Pars strike said that the United States was informed before the attack.

So who's telling the truth?

In choosing between the Netanyahu and Trump camps, it is like picking which stinks less, a skunk or rotten eggs?

Given Trump's track record of lies, I have to give the benefit of the doubt to Israel personally, though I wouldn't take anything either says at face value.

Saying that the U.S. was briefed does not necessarily mean that anyone with direct channels to the Commander In Chief was briefed.

Being "briefed," could mean, "Hey, we are going to do this!" and it could mean, "This is something we are considering." In both cases, the subject was "briefed."

A "lie" is a statement that the speaker knew to be false when he spoke the words. In the TDS world, it is necessary to review that definition regularly.

This is a nothing-burger. Trump has made it clear that attacking petroleum-related targets is off limits, as far as he is concerned. He may change his mind - indeed he has threatened to change his mind, but at this moment, he is against it.
