This is another 'thumb in the eye' to the people conducting the peace process (the U.S. being one). I'm beginning to think maybe they aren't interested in the peace process.

Well, considering people have yet to be rehoused permanently from the Gazan disengagement 9 years ago I would say that building new homes is an excellent idea considering the shortage of housing there.

No. They have also the Negev, but sadly, no one wants to build anything there because it's far.

I think it would be great if instead of just building in the settlements they'd build in the negev and have more working places in the south. They started the project, actually, which I see as something wonderful. But that takes much longer.

Meanwhile, the settlements offer already finished appartments with prices much lower than in Tel Aviv. instead of paying 2 millions for an apartment, they pay half and sometimes less than that.

If I was a young mother, I'd want to live also in a settlement in those conditions. People live there nowdays less and less because of ideology, and more because of convinience. When you have to finish the month and feed a family, you look for a comfortable solution, and that's what living in the settlements sometimes offer you.

Not everything is just about peace with the Arabs, sometimes its just about living.
