Only in your fantasies. In fact, even under very difficult circumstances, Israel has a record of protecting freedom of the press that is equal to or surpasses those of the other great democracies. Every government has a history of conflict with the media in some circumstances, the UK, US, France, etc., but Israel is one of the most liberal because its own reporters are so aggressively demanding of their rights they have opened the doors for foreign reporters wider than other countries have and because the Israeli government and Israeli people are so self critical that measures inimical to their values come under swift and effective criticism in Israel.
