Most likely a tragic mistake, or possibly even the tank commander was at personal fault. I also read though that warning shots were fired and the bus kept coming forward.. soo it was maybe not the usual case.

However, where is your condemnation of HAMMAS for dragging gazans through the streets and executing them in front of their families??? since the cease fire. they have murdered a lot more than 11 and they did it 100%
on purpose.

Your argument is basically that the IDF knew that the bus contained nothing but civilians, posed no threat, and targeted the family. There is no way for the IDF to have known that the bus didn't contain military operatives, weapons to be smuggled across the yellow line, an IED or other explosive. Given that Hamas and other jihadi organizations frequently use the cover of civilians and civilian vehicles, humanitarian aid vehicles, ambulances for committing acts of terror or for military operations, the IDF has been required to adapt. Ignore a warning shot at your peril. If Hamas wants to prevent the killing of civilians, they need to stop using them as cover.
