Israel, India, the EU, Japan, Vietnam, and Cambodia all plan to drop tariffs if Trump agrees to do the same.

I am not sure Trump will take any of them up on it.

Possibly ….big news is the left wing cult and the neocons were proven wrong. Everything is going to be fine and we’re gonna have an amazing economy under Trump.
Viet Nam HATES China. Believe it or not, they actually like the USA. They consider the War a Civil War and don't hold much of a grudge against us.

But, they HATE China. For about the last 2,000 years or so.

The penguins have agreed to drop their tariffs as well, so we can see how precisely Chump's measures were targeted.

With tariffs dropped people in other countries will be more inclined to buy our products. Instead of leaving them on the shelf and buying a local equivalent.
that's what the whole thing is about .. they tariff the heck out of our stuff while we didn't do the same with their stuff .. now we are doing the same until they lower their tariffs on our stuff ! I hope that simple explanation is simple enough for the people that think men can get pregnant .. but I have my doubts ..

Trump shohod.maintain at.least 10% on e erhone and Vietnam is just a front for Cbinese made products so that is tricky if you are Trump.
Nope, the stated goal was to get to zero tariffs. Why would we want to leave 10% on anyone?

Surprise. Despite his bullshit, just as scientists know more about science than Trump, and medical professionals know more about medicine than Trump, economists know more about economics than Trump.

And, surprise yet again. anus mouth's cult cannot deal with that.
China responded Friday by announcing 34% tariffs on all U.S. imports, starting April 10, matching the level the U.S. hit it with in its latest move. Beijing also expanded export controls and added almost a dozen U.S. firms to its “unreliable entities list,” restricting sales, and initiated new anti-dumping probes on medical devices. In a statement, the Ministry of Finance described the U.S. move as a “typical unilateral bullying practice.” Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney vowed to match Trump’s 25% tariffs on autos. If more countries follow Canada, which has taken a more aggressive stance with a “buy Canadian” movement, the next phase of the trade battle could turn into rounds of retaliation. It could also make countries more hospitable to working with one another—at a time China has been trying to repair relationships with Europe and increase sales to other parts of the world.

Yeah, they seem to have overlooked that fact.

Lol, you hate tariffs..now you argue against dropping them?

What they also forget is that when you take the American made widget that costs $20 to produce and put it on the shelf next to the one made in lower ass-crackistan that takes $0.20 to produce...nobody is going to buy the American product. You see this everyday at the local Wal Mart. But I'm sure we're immune from such things....right? LOL

Yeah, now imagine that american product with a 20% tariffs sitting in the shelf with that cheaper priced product. At least the no tariffs on American goods make it more enticing. Besides, this not just about shelf goods, it's about grains, textiles, automobiles, steel..etc..

That doesn't address the NON-TARIFF barriers.

Unless those are addressed, tariffs alone will not come even close to levelling the playing field.

So when other countries want to lower their tariffs will you admit Trump's strategy worked?
Or are you so far gone with TDS that even then you won't believe it?

Amidst Trump's inflation, market collapse, and alienation of allies, your faith in the lardass messiah appears to be absolute.

I hope the U.S. can eventually recover from trumpery, but can only guess how long that may take.

1. The stock market didn't collapse, it dropped into correction territory.
2. We don't yet know the inflation caused by Trump's tariffs.
3. Let the "allies" drop their tariffs, then we'll talk.
4. Tariff "damage" can be undone by leveling the tariffs.
5. If Trump's strategy loses a trade war and inflation rises, and the economy goes into recession, the mid-terms will be a "blood-bath". The only thing that can save Republicans is that democrats are TOXIC. You can't beat something with nothing

Your hyper-partisan dogma is taken for what it is worth.

I prefer the irrefutable empirical data without the wishful thinking.
