Not at all. I don't hate these people but neither do I think their lives nor the lives of their children are MORE important than those of the Israelis. The basic problem is pretty simple. Hamas uses a strategy that depends upon folks like yourself looking at the media, seeing the destruction and listening to - and accepting uncritically - the stories of numbers of dead and maimed Palestinians and those stories are presented without the context of the atrocities against Israelis that CAUSED the bombing to begin with.

The strategy is simple and effective. Israel is hated by nearly every nation on the planet. If you don't believe that then look at the number of total UN resolutions in any given year and notice how many of them are uniformly negative against a state of fewer than 8 million citizens.
The reality is that Israel has tried to make peace, multiple times, and the Palis reject it EVERY TIME. They will accept nothing less than all the land. Their goals are advanced by UNRWA schools teaching their children to hate Jews as early as kindergarten. They have a cartoon character that looks like Mickey Mouse who preaches HATE against Jews.


The event on 10/7 was so over-the-top horrific that for once, even US pressure couldn't stop Israel from responding forcefully. While I doubt the accuracy of the numbers coming from Hamas, I expect the number of dead Palestinians is in the 5-8 thousand death range. Israel warned the civilians in advance for about 10 days to get out of the north and head south. Many did but many stayed put and died because they lived cheek by jowl with apartments housing known Hamas members. If Israel did not strike these targets then Hamas could continue to slaughter Jews without Israel being able to fight back at all OR forcing the IDF to fight close-in and lose far more soldiers and kill far more civilians.

The real question is, why do you support those who tied families up, doused them with gasoline and set them afire while they were still alive? Why do you turn a blind eye to those who put an infant into an oven and baked it? Why do you ignore a beheaded infant?
You can deny these crimes but there is evidence in the form of videos that were made and streamed by HAMAS. This struggle is between pure evil, and civilization. Perhaps when these demons come to the US or EU and use the same strategy, folks like yourself will awaken but by then it may well be too late.

If the option is to allow Hamas free license to kill as many Jews as they can, then when they hide among the population, refuse to "allow" Israel to strike them unless they can guarantee no civilian deaths, then the problem isn't with Israel.
