Israeli authorities have extended the detention without trial of prominent Palestinian legislator and senior member of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP), Khalida Jarrar, for another six months.

On December 24, the detention was extended by another six months “after security personnel found she still poses a substantial threat,” the Israeli army said on Tuesday.
According to reports, a total of 13 Palestinian lawmakers are currently imprisoned in Israeli detention facilities. Nine of them are being held without trial under the so-called administrative detention, which is a policy according to which Palestinian inmates are kept in Israeli detention facilities without trial or charge. Some Palestinian prisoners have been held in administrative detention for up to 11 years.

Israel has it's own Law and Justice system. U.S. system is different. Not to worry.

Indeed, a well known kangaroo court system.

Going with Hossfly on this one, Every country has it's own laws and none are infallible. So what looks good to one might not look all that great to another.

Israel is dealing with some very unique threats and will naturally be taking a harder line.

I'm thrilled to see that little Israel, after everything that's happened is successfully sticking up for itself against all odds.

Chalk one up for tribal rights and indigenous people everywhere

It's an administrative detention. By definition:
Administrative detention is arrest and detention of individuals by the state without trial, usually for security reasons.
The United States also used this form of detention.

Are you sure this story is about the free democracy in Israel? This sounds much more like North Korea or Saudi Arabia.

Press TV, the Iranian govt. propaganda machine? The same govt. that has now cut off all phones, Internet, and broadcasts and killing its own people protesting? The Mullahs days are numbered, very soon Israel and Iran will be friends again.

Admit it, things are really not going well for the Palestinians. it would be highly advantageous for the so called "Palestinian people", if their terrorist corrupt leadership sits down and cuts a deal with the Israelis now. They will get a lot less if they do it later where all their leverage will be gone.
