Here's the potential road forward.

Trump is already exasperated by this war and might even realize he's made a tit of himself, so he needs and exit ramp (or as one writer put it, he's frantically searching for the ejector seat handle) as the economy starts to nosedive and the mid-terms come trundling toward him like a freight train.

So he wants out, but the Israelis don't they NEED war, it is what sustains their political ideology and Netanyahu doesn't want to go to prison for corruption. So I expect Israel to continue to slaughter Muslims and Christians in Lebanon and the ceasefire begin to crumble.

This could lead to the US withdrawing and letting what's left play out and what's left is for Israel to use tactical nuclear weapons to incapacitate Iran and that becomes the new normal.

just out of dry dock for its initial shakedown and testing, and out of a billion possible serious things that might have been wrong, there was some minor issue (now fixed) with one of the toilets.
