This is an old playbook, but you’ll never recognize it.

Powerful rich capitalists dislike a populist political leader. So, they do all they can to sabotage that leader, then claim socialism doesn’t work.

It was done in Cuba, Chile, Iran, Venezuela, Libya, etc…

That said I don’t for one minute think Mamdani is a populist leader planning to impose socialist policies. I suspect he’s another phony politician similar to Obama. He’s put in power to divide the people, so the wealthy can continue to enrich and empower themselves.
