Where should adulterers, and people involved in any kind of sexual sin, worship? For that matter, where should those involved in any kind of sin worship? Perhaps somewhere that guides giving up that sin?

I have no problem with homosexuals (same-sex attracted persons) worshipping in our Church (LDS) However, the acts and behaviors of homosexuals must not be acted upon while at Church. We have many homosexuals who attend Church on Sundays and refrain from acting out on their sins.

And what if they did not "refrain"? What would you do?

They would be asked to leave and only come back if they adhered to our rules of conduct while in Church. Pretty simple. It's not their church. It's the Church of Jesus Christ. The same with if you have a person who breaks other rules like being a pedophile. We had this dude who came around and wanted to get back into Church after spending some time in a state prison for molestation of a minor. He sat down with the bishop (minister) and said he still had feelings that he wanted to do it again. So, the bishop ordered him to leave and not come back. We let the other Churches in the area know as well and not just our local Churches. Pretty simple.

Pretty simple. It's not their church. It's the Church of Jesus Christ.

Irony can be pretty ironic sometimes given the Catholic Priest's history on the subject.

Gays/homosexuals can certainly attend our church, and most likely have. Where we draw the line is calling evil good, and good evil. We are all sinners in church, but most of us don't endorse our own sin.

Are you personally providing healthcare to people too? You dont PERSONALLY stop bad guys from robbing banks that store your money. You dont PERSONALLY pave your road to work. Government does that. God wants you to pay taxes for roads and police but not to feed the poor? Show me that scripture.

Most of what Christians give goes to running a church with a small percent going to actual charity work. Half of 2.5% doesnt come close to helping anyone out. Churches do good things but they are not able to handle all the needs in the US.

It's all over the Bible. Yes, we are to pay taxes, but we are to feed the poor ourselves. And providing for the poor does not need to be a govt function like roads and military.

One very big benefit of giving yourself to the poor is that you eliminate a lot of costs and you can better judge needs. You get your nails done weekly, your lashes done weekly, and you're still out there needing assistance? Hmmm

IMO, it is not a matter of not offending people. We left the church where we had married and where we had been very active members when it went 'woke'. That had absolutely nothing to with gay people--they had always been welcome in our church--and we had always taken the position that we were all sinners and fall short. We all needed salvation and the guidance of the Holy Spirit to do better.

But that church more and more came to reject the leading of the Holy Spirit in favor of human engineered focus and programming. Social engineering, supporting illegals, strongly pro choice, all manner of leftist ideology changed us from a place where the spiritual worshipped and received strength and guidance from God to one that was more a sociopolitical advocacy organization. When we eventually felt like aliens ourselves there, we left.
