We are not talking about short range missiles. They are Army Tactical Missile Systems, or ATACMS, and even retired General Wesley Clark has acknowledged publicly that the US has to okay anything they strike with them because only the US can upload the targeting package to the ATACMS on the Ukrainian military's behalf.

These are M39 Block 1, you can look up the transfer on SIPRI. This not a new capability for Ukraine, they've had them since last winter.

They are only 62 miles range and carry anti-personnel cluster munitions. Since they have been using them, that means they already have the ability to load the targeting information.

Well, there is more to it than that. If the ethnic Russian Ukrainis just decided they wanted to be part of Russia then you could understand Kjev's anger and maybe even understand Kjev's use of the NAZI military. OK, probably not the NAZIS but some other force. But that's not the way it happened. The Ukie NAZIS had been attacking the ethnic Russian Ukrainians for ....... how long? .... and eventually those people wanted out. Becoming independant republics of Luhansk & Donestk ... or joining Russia were (are) the two alternatives they have. Can't blame them for that.
