For those who care to do five minutes of research, Federal (and other) government employees are overwhelming Democrats, and this goes from entry level to the top GS employees in virtually every agency. And it is not a bizarre coincidence. They basically go to work for government because they want to influence how government works by implementing policies in a way that furthers Leftist objectives.

Thus, when there is a Democrat President, they faithfully follow his directives - enthusiastically, in fact. And when there is a Republican President, they ignore, slow-walk, or intentionally distort Presidential directives (including but not limited to Executive Orders), simply because they don't like them.

The most obvious recent example is how the Justice Department and FBI actively opposed the Trump Administration FROM BEFORE HE EVEN TOOK OFFICE in 2017. They pushed the bullshit Russia Collusion story as if their lives depended on it, and even after the Mueller posse came up totally empty they continued pretending that it was valid. They buried the Hunter Biden Laptop, going so far as to intimidate news sources and social media companies into suppressing any mention of it. They harassed and indicted scores of Trump associates on bullshit charges, treated even harmless functionaries as though they were international terrorists.

This is why, when Trump selected his cabinet members and other senior people, he was just as interested in appointing people who were supporters as their experience and track record.

And it's working.

Yes, there is a Deep State, which is why the entire Democrat Party and Federal workforce are having a collective hissy fit because Trump's minions are trying to neuter it.

Of course there is. It's a loose network of non-elected individuals within the government secretly working to undermine everything the Trump administration is doing. The Deep State is for the most part a left-wing, progressive, or Democrat thing. We didn't see any such entity trying to sabotage the Biden/Harris administration.
