Is there anything dumber in sports than a football lineman lining up offside?

If I was an NFL coach I would have a standing $10K fine for any lineman who lines up in the neutral zone. JUST LOOK AT THE DANG BALL!!! How can this be a thing every single week?

I don't understand it myself. Apparently the NFL has managed to complicate this too. I've heard that when they line up on scrimmage, the linemen often look down the line at the referee who gives them some sort of signal if they are OK or not, but apparently, the Refs don't always tell them, or correctly.
