There's not much that's picked by hand anymore. Maybe melons.... Cucumbers....Strawberries, Grapes...... Most crops can be mechanically picked these days. The machines are quite frankly amazing.

And people shouldn't feel sorry for migratory farm workers. I live in Florida and when I had my Office, more than a few came in. Some of them were quite well -off. Not rich by any stretch but considering the abject poverty they come from in their SOCIALIST (Oh YES, they are) Home Countries.....
