However, based on Gracie's information, let's do some really simple math:

77.7 / 13.2 = 5.89, meaning there are almost 6 times as many Whites as Blacks in our Union.

320,082 / 62,593 = 5.11, meaning a little more than 5 times as many whites died due to black violence than visa versa. So, less whites died in relation to their actual take of the total population, because 5.11 is LESS than 5.89.

But there are 6 times as many white citzens to begin with. There are bound to be more white deaths per year than black deaths, regardless at the hands of whomever, because there are simply so many more whites in the USA to begin with. The sheer numerical discrepancy makes this quite obvious.

Now, some simple math should be easy for anyone to understand.

Let's assume a population of exactly 320,000,000 people. That was the estimate at the end of 2013, we can take it as a baseline.

320,082 / 320,000,000 = 0.1% of the US population died in 2011 as a result of B on W violence.

Ok, let's see how much that figure is of the total White population of the USA:

320,000,000 * 0.777 = 248,640,000

320,082 / 248,640,000 = 0.12% of the white population.

Same thing with blacks:

62,593 / 320,000,000 = 0.02% of the US population.

And calculated for the actual number of blacks in the USA:

320,000,000 * 0.14 = 44,800,000

62,593 / 44,800,000 = 0.13% of the black population.

So, according to your statistics, the same PERCENTAGE of the respective populations died at the hands of the "other race" in 2011.

So, your point?

Don't be an ass. 19.55% of the murders blacks commit are against whites/hispanics, not 5.11. Since blacks commit half of the murders in the country, clearly 10% of all murders are black on non-black essentially, while 40% are black on black. Trying to mitigate the problem with train wrecks of statistics is something you keep failing at.

Race plays a far greater role in murder rates than anything else, even when Hispanics are heaped in with whites by the FBI.

I didn't mean to imply it was the entire 13% and not simply a percentage of them but you must admit that it should NOT be the case that a demographic containing only 13% of the population also contains almost 50% of the violent criminals. That points to a SERIOUS disparity in the crime rate.

And, like I said, it is a self fulfilling prophesy. Because people tend to commit crimes against the same demographic as the one they belong to, you end up with a criminal segment of the population that continues itself.

This is not simply a statistical anomaly - there are underlying causes for a disparity this large.

That is still incorrect. The numbers Statis were noting were not murders as he incorrectly stated but victims of violent crimes. Nowhere can I get your 19% figure to make any sense with those numbers. If we go to murders:

Blacks committed 2958 murders in the year cited (post 2 givers the figures 448 against whites, 2447 against blacks, 36 against other and 27 unknown). With 448 against whites that means 448/2958 gives you around 15%.

The numbers are retracting from any real debate though.
