Although most TDS sufferers also exhibit Emotional Disorders, I am beginnings to think that a cognitive disorder or limitation may be involved. Most people with practical intelligence understand President Trump's statements and actions are clever, if not ingenious, tactics to obtain desired results. Those who have some competence in competitive games, such as poker and chess, already know that the path to success is usually indirect: Bluffing a hand and sacrificing pawns are often keys to winning.

Those who don't comprehend these strategies naturally assume that they are illogical and nonconstructive. That leads them to conclude that whoever is employing them must be stupid and/or evil. Since this type of thinking is short term at best, these people are unable to recognize connections between present day events and future results. Even when this is subsequently pointed out to them, they simply brush it off as some sort of luck or coincidence.

I think these cognitive skills may be inherited traits. Even if they are not, it seems that they need to be developed during a formative stage of brain development. Otherwise, they may be lost forever. What can be done to protect these impaired people from harming themselves and their country?
