My daughter is debating this point, and I wondered what you all think.

What's her opinion?

I have no idea, really. I push buttons on the machine at the casino and hope for the best.

She doesn't think it is, but the fact that it is covered on ESPN, etc., is a point in the other side's favor. It seems to come down to the definition of the word sport, which is actually pretty broad.

Kathianne or D: I probably should have posted this under Sports. Do you want to move it?

I've no comment on Abbey's daughter, but will say that my two sons use poker for spending money. My daughter uses it only for entertainment regarding dates.

If it's played for money? Hell yeah.

If not? It's a waste of time.

If it was full contact, then maybe it'd be a sport.
If the cards are touching 'no touch zones' wrath of MOM upon you. Much worse than islamophobic messages. Trust me.

As far as I know, she's never played Poker. But who really knows what goes on on those band buses. ;)

To be considered a sport, the activity must require at least SOME physical exertion.

I wouldn't go that far.
Just remember that most hot chicks are almost always accompanied at parties
with the token "big gal".

Geez, I wasn't thinking of group strip poker. I'm way too shy for that.
