Ukraine has been seen and treated as an ally since the Soviet Union collapsed. The US has had successive administrations every one of which has courted Ukraine and encouraged it to join NATO. So you can't really blame a country for being a loyal ally for decades and then suddenly not being an ally simply because the latest administration has abandoned a former ally in the middle of a war against a long standing US enemy state.Ukraine is not our ally. We have a common enemy which is Putin’s Russia. As for minerals, after giving Ukraine hundreds of billions, shouldn’t we get something in return? Even as poor as the infant USA was after the revolution, it sent a massive food and grain convoy to France to help feed the French people during a bad harvest.
The problem here is the United States, it is abandoning it's allies and blaming those allies, utterly dumb like everything maga.
The United States, as a nation, a people has shown that it cannot be trusted, that it elects rogue corrupt players and so no country now trusts us and that'll hurt the US going forward in the sense that it's global influence will fade away and China will replace it.
This is happening now and maga is the cause, they wanted this, this is what they voted for, reduced influence over the world, a sidelined United State's that will become a bit player, an also ran in global affairs while the corrupt neo-fascists - sorry, populists - cream off the people, transferring trillions of public money into private hands - long live the king...
