It is getting worse by the day.

It's attempting to replace the brain power of the average human beings ability to use their brain power in the maximum way that it was designed for.

Otherwise it's making human beings lazy, vulnerable, and easily conned and set up.

It's way to much, and it is becoming unproductive as opposed to being productive in the forms it is taking.

Being bedazzled by it or worse being forced into it's world by very scrupulous people, uhhhh is setting the people up for the fall of the century.

How many are being forced to comply with technology in their job's now ?

How many hate it but are being forced into it or else ?

How many are being asked to give out secure information that was kept close to the chest, and laughingly it being asked for in a way that swears it won't be used or distributed in any way until it is ??

On and on it's all just racing along while creating a disturbance in the security that so many never once even considered to be at risk.

Am I just being paranoid or am I seeing a tech trend that is being idolized until it blows up in the faces of those whom thought it was so cool, and that it could be trusted until they found out the hard way ???

I never thought the day would come when a robot tells me to prove I am human before it will allow me to proceed!
New Technology is not always better technology.
I have noticed the businesses I correspond with have gone to ''snail mail'' and no longer e-mail me. ''A revolution against the machine'' may be happening. '' Power to the People'' :)

I'm so glad I'm retired.

Below; It's an older link but still relevant to the ever increasing knowledge racket of current.

Farmers of all people are facing the "rigged" technology game also with the "John Deere" corporation that's currently leading in the corruption game.

I feel I'm under the thumb of something more powerful and it's trying to snuff out who I am. I used to be the most trusting person, too much often, and now I trust nothing. Study everything that lurks me into doing, trying, coercing, me into letting them think for me. I don't do it. I never fall for anything, "FREE" either.

I ditched Grammarly, a "free" AI writing assistant, long ago as I saw them encroaching on anything I typed, ostensibly to make it "sound better" spell better, be more efficient, impressive, enhancing grammar, using vivid colors to make me auto-correct something I was conveying so it would look perfect. BLAH! I'll express myself and take my lumps! I feel so FREE again when communicating from My head and MY heart.

It was beyond annoying to be typing my thoughts on something IN THE WAY I WANTED IT TO SOUND so as to be a reflection of ME instead of Grammarly's correction of my mind and free expression as they struck through to "improve" on something THEY wanted me to sound like. Not myself, but a program. Maybe a place for it in business, but for personal use, I choose to express myself the way I am and to spell as I do and to make my mistakes in punctuation when I do. As an example, I tend to over or under use commas. I will choose to continue that rather than have it sound perfect. I LOVE to detect posts that don't use Grammarly. They are the most interesting to me. They sound true and unique and real.

Thanks, beagle9, for an interesting OP. I so agree with you. It's getting really bad. It's like a gigantic net over my head just waiting to drop and engulf me. And you. Very little of AI do I trust when detected.

AI is a double edged sword. It is dumbing down our younger generations and making them more lazy always looking for the easy way out. There is value in struggling to write a paper yourself or the lyrics to your own song without a computer.
Absolutely correct.... How many of you know more than just two phone numbers, otherwise by sheer memory these day's ????
Back in the good Ole day's we knew almost all of our family member's and some of our friend's phone numbers by heart.. 👍

I can't even spell anymore or write something legible...

Tech is a double-edged sword.....I work on guns a lot, some fairly obscure so the YouTube assembly/disassembly videos folks make are very useful to me.

Try finding a part for a 100+ year old gun without the help of the internet.
Information viewed and used in various formats for learning purposes, uhhh if not abused is great and Ok. Debate forums are ok. Many thing's are ok until they are not. Keep the eyes focused.

Autos helped take horses off of city streets. Think of all the literal horseshit no longer making such a stench! Thank you technology.

I am, by nature, one who likes to dig some for information. I also have a tendency to prefer more immediate gratification. So, things like internet search engines is a natural grove, for me. Again, thank you technology.

I’m kind of heat intolerant. So I am reliant on A/C. Thanks, technology.

But … I do wonder who needs to have a flip phone now opening the screens like a book? Who needs to have to get different charging cables for different versions of the same damn cellphone?

Some things in technology are a bit silly. My belief is that some marketers and companies are making obnoxious choices.

I still have a land line so I remember most numbers I call.

YouTube has saved me thousands in car repairs, along with other motorized equipment.

As a boater and fishing enthusiast, the GPS systems with a good lake maps chip has made navigation on the lakes much safer and certainly is nice to mark those favorite spots.
Not afraid to run at night at all.
Can't afford the automatic trolling motor my buddy has that links to the GPS system.
But I did spend on a good Hummingbird head unit.

Banking is easier than the old sending checks in the snail mail.

Voice recognition however, is a waste in my view. Rarely use it in my vehicle, and I shut off ALL nanny features.
I will drive my own overpriced vehicle and not rely on software, especially when every manufacturer has multiple electronic, software and mechanical recalls.
The drive to over complicate vehicles, much driven by Federal mandates has made the cost of vehicles rise up by thousands and made once simple repairs into catastrophic expenses by burying components under a bunch of emissions crap packed into a small inaccessible space.
Don't even get me going on all the useless expensive to replace actuators with cheap plastic gears that run multiple systems in a vehicle. All brands are guilty of that.
I will also never buy another vehicle with the cylinder deactivation crap.
Prone to stuck lifters destroying cam shaft.
Glad my truck doesn't have it along with the 8-10 speed transmissions that are shredding themselves across all brands.
I will also enjoy my naturally aspirated V8 engine and proven 6 speed transmission for years to come as those new lawnmower engines with twin turbos haven't convinced me of their long term reliability.

If there is a Hell, car designers and engineers should be forced for eternity to fix the stupid crap they designed.
