American Gangster (2007) is seriously right up there with Goodfellas and Casino IMO. My only critique of the film is that Washington was so good he made Frank Lucas a sympathetic character when in actuality is was one of the biggest pieces of crap who ever inflicted themselves upon the world.

Directed by Ridley Scott and co-starring Russell Crowe so it just had to be good.

Yeah, not for Me.

He was far better in all three Equalizer movies. In fact, now that I'm reminded, I may just go binge Me some Denzel. lol

It is a good movie. 99% fiction, 1% accurate. (Being kind)
His characterization of the actual dude couldn't be more opposite of reality. Pretty much everything in the movie is pure fiction.
But, as a movie it is not only good but very re-watchable like other major gangster movies.

To me - his best movies was "Book of Eli" - seen it twice, will for sure probably see it again at least that many times.
