Is Bristol Tennessee a good place to live?

No state income tax to pay, but you can do your shopping in Virginia which has a low sales tax.

In the middle of America's tremendous Appalachian region, a high percentage of honkies which is nice because I always have gotten along well with white people.

The only problem I can see is that it might be difficult to buy kielbasi and other key items in my diet, because of the low Polish population.

I live an hour away from Bristol, but I have been there. Because of the city being where it lays, half of it is in TN and the rest is in VA and so depending on what area of the city you are in, you are either paying 9.75% tax on whatever you buy or 4.3%.

I would never let the tax thing sway me. If one type of tax is not collected, then they will collect it another way.
