Not a shock. The truth is that much of it likely goes to illegal aliens who make false claims for the child tax credit. An accountant blew the whistle a few years ago when he realized that a good number of his clients in one area were all using the same address and all getting an average of $10,000 in refunds by claiming a lot of children. When investigated, it was discovered that one guy lived at the residence. No children. No other people. Just friends of the guy who are in the country illegally and claiming children that may or may not exist and, if they do, they aren't in this country.
Most Americans would be in huge trouble for making false claims to get big refunds. Most. Unless you are Al Sharpton or a liberal in Obama's cabinet, you aren't going to get away with tax evasion or fraud. If you are a popular liberal or illegal alien, you're home free. If any citizens accepted money they didn't have coming to them, they can expect to be forced to pay it back, with interest. No one can track illegal aliens since they are usually using someone else's identity.
That is a lot of money sent out in fraudulent checks. And it's money earned by tax payers. Just think of other ways we could use that money. While the IRS is still busy targeting conservatives, I guess it's easier for cheaters to get one by them.
IRS Paid out more than $23 Billion in bogus tax credits last year
