Let the Hammer Fall Upon the Righteous as the Sickle Cuts them Down.

Communism begins from the outset (Owen) with atheism.
- Karl Marx

The Internal Revenue Service has reached a so-called “secret agreement” with atheists to probe churches and religious groups’ political activity.

Shannon Bream joined Martha MacCallum on America’s Newsroom today and explained that this resulted from the Freedom From Religion Foundation's lawsuit against the IRS, which alleged the agency wasn’t doing its job to monitor that churches with tax-exempt status were not engaging in political activity.

In fact, might as well drop a Great Quote:
Vladimir Lenin similarly wrote regarding atheism and communism: "A Marxist must be a materialist, i. e., an enemy of religion, but a dialectical materialist, i. e., one who treats the struggle against religion not in an abstract way, not on the basis of remote, purely theoretical, never varying preaching, but in a concrete way, on the basis of the class struggle which is going on in practice and is educating the masses more and better than anything else could."[2]
The atheism in communist regimes has been and continues to be a form of militant atheism which led to various acts of repression, including the razing of thousands of religious buildings and the killing, imprisoning, and oppression of religious leaders and believers.[3]
The persecution of Christians in the Soviet Union was the result of the violently atheist Soviet government. In the first five years after the October Revolution, 28 bishops and 1,200 priests were murdered, many on the orders of Leon Trotsky. When Joseph Stalin came to power in 1927, he ordered his secret police, under Genrikh Yagoda to intensify persecution of Christians. In the next few years, 50,000 clergy were murdered, many were tortured, including crucifixion. "Russia turned red with the blood of martyrs", said Father Gleb Yakunin of the Russian Orthodox Church.[4] According to Orthodox Church sources, as many as fifty million Orthodox believers may have died in the twentieth century, mainly from persecution by Communists.[5]
In addition, in the atheistic and communist Soviet Union, 44 anti religious museums were opened and the largest was the 'The Museum of the History of Religion and Atheism' in Leningrad’s Kazan cathedral.[6] Despite intense effort by the atheistic leaders of the Soviet Union, their efforts were not effective in converting the masses to atheism.[7][8]
China is a communist country. In 1999, the publication Christian Century reported that "China has persecuted religious believers by means of harassment, prolonged detention, and incarceration in prison or `reform-through-labor' camps and police closure of places of worship." In 2003, owners of Bibles in China were sent to prison camps and 125 Chinese churches were closed.[9] China continues to practice religious oppression today.[10] According to Asian Economic News, in 2004 the atheistic and communist government of China had an internal document which directed the Chinese media to promote atheism, instructed internet media to remove user comments that advocate alternative spiritual views, and called for a ban on publications that disseminate religious material out of step with Marxism or atheism.[11] The efforts of China's atheist leaders in promoting atheism, however, is increasingly losing its effectiveness and the number of Christians in China is explosively growing.[12][13] China's state sponsored atheism and atheistic indoctrination has been a failure and a 2007 religious survey in China indicated that only 15% of Chinese identified themselves as atheists.[14]
North Korea is a repressive communist state and is officially atheistic.[15] The North Korean government practices brutal repression and atrocities against North Korean Christians

Yep, I got my letter. A top priority is removing their tax-exempt status.

Of course that's the top priority of a Marxist like yourself:

"The power to tax involves the power to destroy," Chief Justice John Marshall

To have your Marxist utopia, you must destroy those who acknowledge the Old Testament.

Although, I must ask, will you also prevent Muslims from practicing their faith?

The article doesn't say a thing about Christians. But churches. It would apply as fully to Muslims as Christians or Scientologists.

Muslims aren't causing me any trouble. It's just those dumbass Christians who want their cake and eat it too (politics and tax-exempt). I say **** them. Take away their tax-exempt status and let them **** around in politics all the Constitution will allow (keeping in mind separation of church and state).

It shouldn't apply to anyone, including Muslims or Scientology. But experience hath warned us that it will only be applied against Christians. In fact Lakhota just affirmed this in the above post.

You also just affirmed the suspicion that Liberals do in fact desire this to persecute groups that are opposed to them politically. No wonder you you call the IRS scandal a "phony scandal." You know it's true, and you like it. To you it's not even a scandal, it's justified for the "greater good."

If I ever did this, which I don't, this would be an Ignore button macro...

It should be a simple ruling. If your whatever is God AND Country, kiss your tax-exempt ass goodbye. God doesn't need your Politics, and Politics doesn't need your God.

The First Amendment only restricts the Congress.

How is it that you construed the first amendment to be a restriction on the People?

That won't last long when the discover it is mostly black churches are doing it. But having said that, political activity from the pulpit is an American tradition form the revolutionary war to date, I think if the law were challenged it would be over turned.

This is the IRS, and tax-exempt status. You can say whatever you like but doing so can find you suddenly unable to say "Your contribution is tax-deductible". A church too into politics is no longer a church...

IRS Strikes Deal With Atheists to Target Religious Political Activity | Fox News Insider

Communism begins from the outset (Owen) with atheism.

North Korea is a repressive communist state and is officially atheistic.[15] The North Korean government practices brutal repression and atrocities against North Korean Christians

Lenin was honest in saying a communist must be a materialist. This is true and they are. First a communist must be a materialist and then an expansionist. Communism is the religion of hell. Personified. I do not mind if they remove the tax exempt status. Let them do it. I never quite understood what that was about anyhow. As for communism - the gateway to America has been the teachings of Marx, the acceptance of Humanism, then came abortion - 50 million babies murdered thus far, then drugs, then alchohol, then perversions of every other sort and finally we have arrived where we are today. A society on the verge of destruction. That is what I see, 2nd Amendment. Thank you for the invitation.

I was so happy to be able to hand out lunches to the needy yesterday. First time I was able to do that since my operation. The church that I go to for that, isn't even mine and they already have a budget crises. I'm donated my own goods and money to help keep this program running, if they have to pay taxes on it, I wonder how long it will last and what the people that come to us for help will do.

Muslims don't have churches, they have mosques. Currently, churches are being burned down by ISIS as they get rid of the Christians, either by death or forcing them to run.

:iagree::iagree::iagree: There are also plenty of Far Left Unitarian Universalist churches that won't like being audited, just because they march in Gay Pride parades and whatnot.

The Left won't like it one bit when their Frankenstein comes back to thump them in the heads.

Thanks for the mention, 2ndAmendment.
