I'm not against collecting the taxes that people owe but to make a general claim that the rich aren't paying their fair share is just a lie. And, if you are filing a legitimate tax return and paying the taxes that it says, then you ARE paying your fair share and, most of the time, that is far more than what the poorer are paying. Percentages don't matter. Dollar amounts matter. If I have a choice of paying Warren Buffet's taxes or his secretary's taxes, I'm paying his secretary's taxes.

Just give it time..just like the unrealized gains tax set at 100 million…sure..for now, eventually they will start lowering that number..and it will start to cover ordinary working class people.

What's cool is over-taxing the rich, which won't produce long-term benefits. Go Joe! Meanwhile .. Joe and Democrats consistently talk about "paying their fair share" while nearly a majority of income earners do not.

Notice the tax hikes start at 400,000…hmm, wait a second, wouldn’t that exempt the presidents d everyone on down? Why I do believe it would.

I think, given how rich these politicians get, that any new taxes they attempt to pass, should automatically include them, regardless of income range. I fact, a lot of these laws should include them. Like the affordable healthcare act. These people should have to get their healthcare from the exchange like everyone else.

There’s a different between passing laws that you yourself have to live with, and passing laws that other people have to live with.

Paid on what? All transactions? A lot of money is moved around that is not payroll income. It’s complicated.

Why? The truly poor have no money at all. A good percentage of them dont work, will never work but breed kids. They are on the GOVT payroll, a net negative on the income side. How do you Tax that?
