Not near as much as 60%. But to your point, it remains imperative that we continue to refuse certain countries access to nuclear material and technology, as some of them would gladly sacrifice themselves to take as many of us out as possible.

While 90% enrichment is the standard for efficient weapons-grade uranium, 60% is not "nowhere close" in technical terms. Once uranium reaches 60% purity, roughly 90% of the total effort required to reach 90% has already been completed
. Converting 60% to 90% is a relatively fast, final step, making it a "threshold" status that significantly shortens breakout time to a weapon.
