The Supreme Leader was referencing an arms deal that was reached between the United States and Saudi Arabia during US President Donald Trump’s visit to the Sunni Muslim bastion last weekend. The deal, worth almost $110 billion, is primarily geared towards supporting “the long-term security of Saudi Arabia and the Gulf region in the face of Iranian threats,” according to a White House official.
